Nestle selects TLC as Operator for New Distribution Center
Total Logistic Control (TLC), based in Holland, MI, has been selected by Nestle Prepared Foods Company to operate a new distribution center Nestle will build in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. The new distribution center will be located adjacent to an existing manufacturing facility Nestle operates which makes HOT POCKETS® brand sandwiches.
Construction will begin later this month. Gray Construction, Inc. has been selected to manage the project. TLC will implement distribution and supply chain engineering solutions for Nestlé in Mt. Sterling. Though the building will be owned by Nestlé, TLC will operate the distribution center and hire and train personnel to fill the 59 jobs created by the project. The new distribution center will encompass 265,000 sq. ft., making it about three-fourths of the size of the Nestle Mt. Sterling manufacturing facility to which it will be connected via tunnel.
