TLC Launches NoWarehouseTax.com
October 19, 2007 1:31 PM US Eastern Timezone -- TLC announced today the launch of NoWarehouseTax.com. This website is one of many efforts being led by TLC and other industry partners in an effort to shine a bright light on this misguided tax which will devastate the fragile Michigan economy.
The new site, designed and supported by TLC, is intended to give Michigan residents a single location to learn about this tax, its potential negative impacts and to then aid them in contacting their elected leaders.
"The people that need to hear about this are the Governor, the Lt. Governor, the Speaker of the House, the Senate Majority leader." said Bob Koerner, TLC's CEO. "With the click of a mouse, this system will send off a well-crafted letter to all four of them, plus a resident's Senator and State Representative."
In addition to sending six letters on behalf of each concerned voter, the site will also place each name onto an electronic petition. This document will be hand-delivered to leaders in Lansing as part of this information effort.
"The site has no TLC logos of any kind." said Carl Melville, TLC's VP of Marketing. "This is about speading the word. We want everyone with a vested interest to participate in this drive. It's not about us. It's about Michigan jobs and Michigan families.
