Overview
The Oglesby Retail Distribution Center is a large upstream facility supplying approximately 20,000 to over 1,600 customers. This location handles numerous product lines, including pharmaceutical, general merchandise, health and beauty care, cosmetics, nutritional foods, store supplies and seasonal promotional merchandise.
Oglesby Retail Distribution Center distributes product in "eaches", inner-packs, cases or pallets depending on the product
and the customers' needs, operating a 7 day weekly delivery cycle with stores typically getting 1, 2 or 3 deliveries per week depending on volume and customer needs.
The products within this facility range in size from the very small (cosmetics, pharmaceutical) to the very large, which must be shipped on oversized pallets.
This location became only the second operation in the nation to achieve the highly coveted Behavioral Based Safety Accreditation Award from the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies. Accreditation was earned after an exhaustive review of ALMW's Critical Activities Management (CAM) safety program which uses frequent, positive and immediate reinforcement to help achieve behavioral change in the workplace.
