This highly specialized supply chain requires multiple supply chain elements, including: Plan, Hold & Move. This creates competitive advantage for our client, and sets a new level of performance for the market they serve.

Delivering Built-to-Order Products for High-Touch clients

Modern hospital beds are complex, custom-built machines. Microprocessor-controlled and servo-driven, each is engineered to exacting medical device standards. Designed to provide both patient comfort and life-saving care, this equipment is delicate and precise.

Proper delivery and installation is key to a successful client experience. Getting each unit from the factory floor and into a patient care facility requires a complex, highly specialized supply chain solution.

When the client selected TLC for this mission, they had specific and well defined performance criteria. The goal was to raise client satisfaction while streamlining the supply chain. Each custom-engineered bed order was to be stored, staged and then delivered to its final destination.

There it was to be met by a company representative. The driver performs a high-touch delivery of the equipment, then only after an inspection and sign-off by the company, the client and the driver is the bed considered delivered.

  • National supply chain solution
  • Customized, dedicated equipment
  • High-touch technical delivery
  • Specially trained staff / drivers

Nothing about this supply chain is ordinary. TLC designed and implemented a customized solution including specially built transport equipment, a secured distribution environment, plus highly specialized handling and documentation protocols.

All this is operated by a trained staff of distribution and transportation professionals. Working with the client, the delivery system has been honed and refined, achieving outstanding client satisfaction results with care facilities nationwide.

This highly successful program has continued to evolve. TLC’s continuous improvement initiatives drive both greater efficiencies and higher quality standards for this client every year. New products and changing market demands mean this customized supply chain will continue to evolve and add value into the future.

For custom solutions, TLC is your Supply Chain One.
