Inbound shipments from manufacturers throughout the world were consolidated and staged. Rooms were coordinated and grouped according to client-specified style and color guides. Completed ‘Room Kits’ were scheduled for just-in-time delivery to TLC-contracted
installation professionals.
Rooms were completed in logical blocks. Clients were never inconvenienced. Each stage was completed before moving to the next. This national program allowed the client to makeover 1,300 hotel properties in record time. The entire project took less than seven months, finishing ahead of schedule and under budget. TLC even handled the reverse logistics for old furniture and fixtures.
The sourcing, warehousing, transportation, labor and materials savings on this project were significant. The real value however was in sustained occupancy rates. Most properties saw almost no interruption in service during their renovation.
