Carrier KPI Scorecard

While all of our carriers are managed, coached, and monitored, our fifty largest carriers receive a weekly Carrier Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Scorecard.  This scorecard is used to manage our carrier base and focuses us on the facts - not feelings or emotions - when managing our carrier base. Because of our comprehensive carrier scorecarding process, we have that same confidence in our carrier base.  The Carrier KPI Scorecard information provides the required information to ensure that our clients’ expectations are being met and their level of confidence and trust is not compromised, while also ensuring that our carriers are accurately and effectively evaluated.

Carrier KPI Scorecard our carriers on the basis of four metrics and is used to communicate the results of this evaluation as it compares to our pre-set expectations based on the following criteria:

On Time Service performance at time of Pick Up
  • 98% (Actual arrival vs. appointment)
On Time Service performance at time of Delivery
  • 98% (Actual arrival vs. appointment)
Tender Acceptance ratio
  • 80% (Tendered loads vs. accepted loads)
Event Update Compliance
  • 98% (EDI or Web updates by the carrier with delivery information within 12 hours of the actual event)

The actual “Carrier Score” is a calculation that is based on the weighted values of the four KPIs listed above which to produce a final "score":

On-time Pick Up =10%
On-time Delivery =50%
Tender Acceptance =10%
Event Updates =30%

Our Carrier Scorecard is the driving force behind our decision-making processes regarding carrier selection, strategic relationship development, and in making any necessary adjustments to our carrier base.
